Have a question?
Q:
I haven’t heard of the temp ID and password before? Where do we get that? It is just mainly to show people interested in becoming a consultant how it works right?
A:
Yes, that’s what it is for. You need to call corporate to get it. The password changes daily.
Q:
How many necklaces per 1 hook on the peg board? My inventory is growing so much that I can no longer do 1 per hook.
A:
Make sure the hook has the same item on it! if you put a different item on it they are most likely not to sell. Put the extra stuff in your back stock you can pull it out as needed. Or let people look in it, they feel so special when you let them look in the box!!
Q:
What are your thoughts on doing 2 parties in one day? I’m a little concerned because what if the first one wipes me out? but what if I dont do the first one and then the second one is a dud? just curious what people do…thanks!
A:
I say go for it!! Have enough stock for each one and if by the time the second rolls around you still have stock from first, add it in!
Q:
Anyone tried to sell in consignment shops? What about libraries?
A:
I sell a ton of the Starlit Shimmer at a children’s consignment store. I sell them for $3 each and get 50% of the profit (which is more than they give their “normal” consignors, but I negotiated until I got what I wanted). I sell about $50 a month out of there and all I have to do is go in every 45 days or so and re-stock it
Q:
Alright I need HELP!!! Tomorrow I have a meeting with the owner of a salon&spa to talk about selling Paparazzi there… What do I need to know before I go to the meeting? Is there a deal I should work out where they get a portion of the profits? Should I bring the jewelry in a basket or my peg board to show for examples? If any of you have done this before please give me advice! I want to make her feel like she NEEDS to have this at her salon!!! Thanks.
A:
ask her to put a display in her salon for a 4 weeks to see how things move-tell her she can either get free product based on her sales or tell her your willing to give her $1 per piece sold…ask her if Paparazzi would be something she would be interested in carrying in her salon where she makes the 45% profit. I would encourage you to GIVE each person who works there a FREE piece so they are willing to help “sell” the product. Have her run a contest! I have so many ideas for you… feel free to contact me for more information. In December, I moved 250 units of Paparazzi.
Q:
What incentives do you offer for hosts?
A:
right now i really need parties so I am giving 4 peices for having the party and 1 free peice for every 10 sold – normal would be 2 peices for having the party and 1 for every 10
Q:
My hairclips are starting to collect dust! What do you do to get them selling?!
A:
I changed the way I displayed then and I can’t keep them in stock – I took them off the cards they come on and put them on foam board with ribbon strips. Not sure if this was mentioned, but we wear them on scarves all the time, like a broach
It’s totally cute!
Q:
I have a headband i got in my starter kit and one of the flowers is coming undone what should i do
A:
I use a product called Fabritac. I bought a small bottle at the store last month to keep with my stuff for emergencies at open houses or events. Essentially it is hot glue but not hot and in a bottle.
Q:
When you guys are looking to sell jewelry in salons.. Do you try to go to day spas or any place like great clips? I’m trying to call around but im not sure what kind of places would be interested..
A:
Go for the locally owned salons…great clips are typically a corporate chain and wont allow for the sale of them…
Q:
Has anyone worked on fundraisers? What are the specifics? How much do we usually donate to the schools, etc?
A:
I am doing a fundraising event on Feb. 4th and I am going to charge $6.50 per item and donate $1 from each piece.
